The objective of our integrated ESG practice is to continue advising our clients on all legal aspects related to the incorporation, implementation, compliance, and monitoring of ESG standards, as well as in the resolution of conflicts in a transversal manner through our different practice areas to provide a comprehensive vision of ESG.

To understand the specific ESG needs of our clients, we have put together a multidisciplinary team made up of different practice areas, including Environmental, Labor, Corporate Governance, Tax, Antitrust, Compliance and Corporate Criminal Liability, Litigation, Financing and Capital Markets.

• Transactional: Advise our clients in the implementation of financing and capital markets operations and emissions labeled or linked to sustainability.

• Compliance: Recognizing that one of the pillars in the adoption of ESG principles by a company is to maintain a robust compliance framework, and to have compliance tools/schemes to ensure the identification, management, and supervision of ESG risks and contingencies, we advise our clients on the implementation of compliance programs in different matters (criminal, environmental, labor, human rights, tax, and economic competition).

• Litigation ESG: Consistent with an ESG compliance strategy aimed at demonstrating our clients' organizational compliance control and governance commitments, our Firm leverages its extensive experience in identifying, mitigating, and addressing ESG litigation to provide a 360° view on the ESG strategies of our clients.

Strategic Alliance

In order to offer our clients a comprehensive ESG solution that considers both legal and non-legal aspects, we have formed a strategic alliance with the Social Value Institute (svalue.org), a highly recognized ESG consulting company.

Unique Tool – ESG/Compliance Platform

To provide a unique experience to our clients in an efficient and effective manner, we have co-developed, together with our strategic ally, a technology platform that allows us to implement, monitor and report compliance with ESG standards, as well as compliance programs aligned with the ESG strategy of our clients. Through the ESG/Compliance platform we also make available to our clients mechanisms for detection, control, prevention, mitigation and resolution of contingencies and ESG litigation.

Adoption of ESG Standards by the Firm

We are convinced that the legal sector plays a key role in the development of social responsibility and sustainability. For this reason, the Firm has adhered to the United Nations Global Compact and is currently in the process of implementing and adopting ESG standards within the Firm.

Our ESG capabilities and efforts in this matter within the Firm have been recognized by Legal 500 in its recently published Green Guide publication, where only two Mexican firms were recognized.
